NightLife starts out with a pair of uptempo outrun tracks - "'84 Crush", my favorite, and the slightly softer "Searching to Find You" - before adopting smoother arrangements that tend toward funk and jazz, best exemplified in "Moonlighting Strangers" with its 6/8 beat and soulful synth leads. For those looking for something a bit darker, there's "Neoworld"'s nighttime stroll and carefully-woven guitar / synth leads. Favorite track: '84 Crush.
